NCS students help build the Camas Nursery
Several students from the Network Charter School participated in a service learning project at the recently envisioned native plant nursery located at the Camas office. The morning of service entailed native plant transplanting of big leaf maple seedlings, a native buttercup and invasive species removal including blackberries and English laurel. The students left with a feeling of accomplishment knowing that the nursery builds the capacity for the Camas Educational Network to propagate and distribute plants for restoration to local schoolyards. A big thank you goes out to Eleanor and her class for all their work!
