Education
School Restoration Program seeks to demonstrate the integration of environmental education, landscape restoration, and urban infrastructure to lead sustainable development and enhance community. Specifically, this program provides technical assistance to students, teachers, and administrators with public and private schools in the upper Willamette Valley (inclusive of 7 school districts) to restore critical habitat for rare species, sustain ecosystem services associated with open spaces, elevate development standards, and spearhead the path toward sustainability.
My Footprint Lecture
We outreach to the community through a multi-media lecture that showcases cultural views of natural resources (water, acorns, and salmon), approaches to management, discussion of the repercussions of our contemporary ecological footprint as evidenced through the life history of a can of soda, and spotlights ways in which audience members can take action to counter these impacts.
